β¦ Synopsis
The Triclinic Room-Temperature Modification of K2MgWO2(PO4)2.
-The title compound undergoes at least five phase transitions between room temp. and its melting point (β1068 K). The room temp. modification crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with Z = 4. The single crystals for the structure determination are grown from a eutectic K2WO3/WO3 flux containing a stoichiometric mixture of KH2PO4, MgO, and WO3 (1120 K, 1 d, Pt crucible). The triclinic form can be described as a slightly distorted variant of the tetragonal high-temp. phase (T ΒΏ 782 K), which is isostructural with K2NiWO2(PO4)2 (space group P41212). -(PEUCHERT, U.; BOHATY, L.;
