The Novel Arsenate Na 4 Co 7-x Al 2/3x (AsO 4 ) 6 (x = 1.37): Crystal Structure, Charge--Distribution and Bond-Valencesum Investigations. -Single crystals of the new title compound are prepared by solid state reaction of Na2CO3, Co(OAc)2•4H2O, and As2O3 in air (675→1153 K, 3 d). Na4Co5.63Al0.91(AsO4)6 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/m with Z = 2. The structure contains Co-and (Co,Al)-centred polyhedra and As-centred tetrahedra forming a centrosymmetric three-dimensional framework with tunnels, which are occupied by the Na + cations. -(MARZOUKI, R.;
