โœฆ Synopsis

The New Antimonides ZrNiSb and HfNiSb: Synthesis, Structure, and Properties in Comparison to ZrCoSb and HfCoSb.

-The antimonides MNiSb (M: Zr, Hf) are prepared by arc-melting of stoichiometric mixtures of M, MSb 2 , and Ni. The isotypic compounds crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pnma (single crystal XRD for ZrNiSb). Unlike ZrCoSb and HfCoSb which adopt the LiAlSi type structure, the title compounds crystallize in the TiNiSi type. ZrNiSb exhibits metallic behavior. -
