β¦ Synopsis
The High-Temperature Proton Conductor Strontium Zirconate: Thermogravimetry of Water Uptake.
-Measurements of the water uptake by nominally 5% Yb-doped Sr zirconate (SrZr0.95Yb0.05O3-Ξ±) by in situ thermogravimetry at different temp. and water vapor pressures and description in terms of an ideal solution behavior reveal an effective dopant concentration of β 1.9%. The difference between the nominal and effective dopant concentration is discussed. For the solution reaction a standard solution entropy Ξ΄S β’ = -127 J/(molβ’K) and a standard solution enthalpy Ξ΄H β’ = -106 kJ/mol are obtained.
