A Novel Synthesis of Indolizidines and Other Heterocycles.
-Inter-or intramolecular N-alkylation of (azaallyl)stannanes or -silanes generates nonstabilized azomethine analogues which undergo cycloadditions with either electron-poor or electron-rich dipolarophiles to give the products shown. Some classical dipolarophiles, for example ethyl vinyl ether, norbornene, phenylacetylene etc., fail to react. -(
