The Generation and Capture of Methyl(vinyl)silanone.

-The reaction of vinyl(methyl)dichlorosilane with hexamethyldisiloxane in the presence of dimethyl sulfoxide is studied. It is shown that the interaction of vinyl(methyl)dichlorosilane with DMSO generates a vinyl(methyl)silanone which reacts with the disiloxane to furnish a mixture of linear and branched oligosiloxanes (n Si = 3 -8) in 78% overall yield.
