β¦ Synopsis
The CSIC [Carbanion Mediated Sulfonate (Sulfonamido) Intramolecular Cyclization] Reaction: Scope and Limitations.
-Sulfonate and sulfonamido intermediates of type (V), (X), (XII), and (XIV) derived from cyclopropyl methyl ketone and cyclic azaketones are found to successfully undergo the CSIC reaction. Intermediates resulting from unsaturated ketones like acetophenone, keto esters, and anthranilonitriles as well as tropinone derivatives, however, are unsuitable materials for this protocol. -(MARCO,
