โฆ Synopsis
Tetrazoles. Part 32. Reactions of 1-R-Tetrazole-5-thiones and Their Derivatives under Phase-Transfer Catalysis Conditions. Selection of Phase-Transfer Catalysts. -The alkylation of tetrazolethione (I) and the oxidation of sulfide ( IIIa) are studied in the presence of six different ammonium or tetrazolium halides as phase-transfer catalysts. A methoxycarbonylpentyl substituted ammonium salt proves to be the most efficient catalyst. Independent of the nature of the catalyst and the alkylating agent, only S-alkylation of (I) takes place. -(GOL'TSBERG, M. A.
