Synthesis of Some Ethyl 2-Arylamino-5-phenylthiothiazole-4carboxylates and Their Sulfones as Potential Analgesic, Antiinflammatory and Antimicrobial Agents.

-The preparation of the new title sulfides (III) by a simple nucleophilic displacement reaction and their conversion into the corresponding sulfones (IV) by oxidation with H 2 O 2 is described. The sulfones (IV) are found to possess good analgesic, antiinflammatory and fungicidal activities. -(BADDI, M. M.; MAHAJANSHETTI, C.
