✦ Synopsis

Synthesis of Novel Fungicidal Organomercurials Using Microwaves.

-Mercury derivatives of substituted 1,3,4-thiadiazoles [cf. (V), (VII)] and 1,2,4-thiazines (VIII) are synthesized under microwave irradiation as well as in a conventional way. The reaction time is cut down from hours to minutes employing microwaves and yields are marginally improved. All organomercurials display significant antifungal activity against a. niger and a. flavous. -
