Synthesis of Heterodisaccharide-Containing Peptides, Fragments of Actinoidin Antibiotics.

-An efficient synthesis of a prototype of an actinoidin fragment of a glycopeptide antibiotic (II) involving coupling of glycopeptide (I) with appropriate tripeptide is achieved. This represents the first example of a glycopeptide synthesis involving an aminodeoxy sugar unit.
