Synthesis of Amino Derivatives of 1,3,5-Triazine Containing Higher Alkyl Radicals. -Reaction of cyanuric chloride (I) with N-methyl octadecylamine (II) affords mono-(III), di-(VII) or tri(octadecylamino)-substituted 1,3,5-triazines (IX) depending on the molar ratio of reactants in good yields. The remaining chlorine atoms are susceptible to further substitution with O-, N-, or S-nucleophiles (IV) as shown in the synthesis of compounds (V) and (VIII). -(KELAREV, V. I.;
