Synthesis of a Serinamide by Aminolysis of an N-Unsubstituted α-Amino Ester.

-A new one-pot process for the synthesis of the serinamide (IV), which is an important intermediate in the approach to the TXA2-antagonist BMS 180291, is developed. A self condensation product could be detected in the reaction mixture with less than 0.1% yield after recrystallization. -(REID,
