Synthesis of a Propargyl Alcohol Having a C 60 Cage, Its Transformation into C 60 Derivatives with Polar Functional Groups, and the Solubility Measurements. -The protected alcohol (IV) and its demethyl analogue show better solubility in toluene and CS 2 than C 60 .
