A novel bridged dicycloproparene has been synthesized by treating the Diels-Alder adduct of I-bromo-2chlorocyclopropene and 2,3,5,6-tetramethylidene[2.2.2]bicyclooctane with potassium t-butoxide in tetrahydrolburan.
