✦ Synopsis

Synthesis of 3,4-Dihydroisocoumarins from α-Lithiated o-Toluates.

-The synthesis of 3,4-dihydroisocoumarins uses the lithium-tellurium exchange method for the preparation of α-lithiated toluates which are condensed with carbonyl compound to targets in good yields. The synthetic sequence shown allows the isolation of the products in good to excellent yields. -
