Synthesis and Biological Activity of (22R,25R)-5α-Furostan-2. alpha.,3α,26-triol. -The title furostantriol (IV) is synthesized starting from tigogenin (I) and evaluated for its activity as a plant growth regulator. No growth-promoting activity but a significant phytotoxicity is observed. -(IGLESIAS
