Synthesis of 1'-(2-(Diarylphosphino)1-naphthyl)isoquinolines; Variation of the Aryl Substituent. -A general procedure for the preparation of the title compounds, e.g. (III), is presented with a view to the application of these compounds as ligands in asymmetric allylic alkylation and asymmetric hydroboration. Some unpredictable results of the optical resolution of (III) are reported.
