โœฆ Synopsis

Synthesis, Electronic, and 1H NMR Properties of a New Type of Polypyridyl Ligands: Long-Range Ring Current Effects. -A series of polypyridyl heterocycles such as (III)-(V) is synthesized by condensation of (I) with (di)amines. Long-range ring current effects in the 1H NMR spectra are observed for these ligands. Molecular ion peaks in the mass spectra of these ligands are consistent with their formulation and also indicate their stability in the gas phase. Reduction of the heterocycles occurs at the imine N bridge and is irreversible with one exception. -(WANG, Y.; RILLEMA, D. P.;
