Synthesis, Antiinflammatory and Analgesic Activity Evaluation of Some Mercapto Pyrimidine and Pyrimidobenzimidazole Derivatives.

-Starting from isothiocyanato ketones such as (I) a variety of mercaptopyrimidine derivatives is prepared and tested for biological activity. Thus, compounds of type (V)/(VI) and (VIII) show inhibition of carrageenin-induced hind paw oedema and compounds of type (IIIb) and (X) exhibit analgesic activity.
