Synthesis, Antibacterial and Antifungal Activities of 2,4-Dimethyl-3,5-diarylimino-1,2,4-thiadiazolidines and Related Benzothiazolylguanidines.

-Thiadiazolidines like (IV) and benzothiazolylguanidines such as (V) are tested for their biological activities. They show more potent antifungal than antibacterial activity. Ethoxy-substituted (IVb), (Vb) and halogenated derivatives, e.g. (Vc), are found to be the most potent ones. None of the compounds is as potent as the standard drugs. -(PANDEYA, S. N.;
