Synthesis and Structure of (2,5)Thiophenophanes (n = 4-6).

-The title compounds like (II) and (IV) are prepared by cyclization of the corresponding linear dibromo derivatives (I) and (III), resp., on reactions with Na 2 S. Best results are obtained in the presence of Cs 2 CO 3 . The X-ray structural analyses of the products are also reported. -(KATANO,
