Synthesis and Reactivity of N-Alkyl-2-oxoalkanesulfonamides.

-A series of title compounds are obtained by the reaction of silyl ethers with sulfamoyl chlorides. Their reactivity towards MeI and acyl chlorides is studied in order to explore the regio-and stereoselectivity of the process. Sulfonamide (XIII) is used to prepare dihydropyridine derivatives (XVIII) in order to test their calcium antagonist activity. -(VEGA,
