Synthesis and Pharmacological Evaluation of Triflate-Substituted Analogues of Clozapine: Identification of a Novel Atypical Neuroleptic.

-Evaluation of triflate derivatives of clozapine and iso-clozapine shows that compound (I) is at least three times more potent than clozapine itself, indicating that lower dosage and less side-effects may be possible. Due to its lack of anticholinergic properties, clozapine analogue (I) is an interesting new atypical antipsychotic drug.
