Synthesis and Enhanced Luminescence Properties of Li-Doped CaTiO 3 :Pr 3+ Ceramic Phosphors. -The title phosphors are prepared by solid state reaction of CaCO3, TiO2, Li2CO3 (0.5, 1, 2, 5 wt.%), and Pr6O11 (800 ยฐC, 4 h, followed by sintering at 1200 ยฐC for 2 h). The samples are characterized by XRD, SEM, XPS, and photoluminescence spectroscopy. They exhibit a red emission peak at 613 nm. Li doping enhances the photoluminescence intensity. The 1.0 wt.% Li-doped CaTiO 3 :Pr 3+ phosphor exhibits the highest luminescence intensity which is improved by a factor of 3.
