Synthesis and Crystal Structure of the Cyclooctaphosphate K 2 Mn 2 P 8 O 24 .

-The new title cyclooctaphosphate (IV) crystallizes in the monoclinic system (sp. gr. C2/m, Z = 2). Its framework consists of P 8 O 24 8-rings derived from eight PO 4 tetrahedra which are linked by MnO 6 octahedra and star-shaped KO 8 units.
