Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Metal(I) Hydrogen Sulfates -Ag(H 3 O)(HSO 4 ) 2 , Ag 2 (HSO 4 ) 2 (H 2 SO 4 ), AgHSO 4 , and Hg 2 (HSO 4 ) 2 .
-The silver hydrogen sulfates of title are synthesized from Ag 2 SO 4 in hot conc. H 2 SO 4 . Hg 2 (HSO 4 ) 2 is obtained from metallic Hg in conc. H 2 SO 4 . The structures of all compounds are determined by single crystal XRD and the metal coordinations and hydrogen bonding schemes are described. Ag(H 3 O)(HSO 4 ) 2 and Hg 2 (HSO 4 ) 2 crystallize in the monoclinic space group P2 1 /c with Z = 4, AgHSO 4 also belongs to space group P2 1 /c, Z = 16, and Ag 2 (HSO 4 ) 2 (H 2 SO 4 ) is orthorhombic (space group Pna2 1 , Z = 4). -(STIEWE, A.; KEMNITZ,
