Synthesis and Characterization of (Ph4P)2(Ni2As4S8) (I), (Me4N)2( Mo2O2As2S7) (II), and (Et4N)2(Mo2O2As2Se7) (III). New One-Dimensional Polymeric Compounds Containing Thio-and Selenoarsenate Ligands.

-Single crystals of the novel compounds (I) (correct formula?), (II) and (III) are prepared in 76, 88, and 54% yield, resp., by hydrothermal reactions of NiCl2/K3AsS3/Ph4PBr, MoO3/K3AsS3/Me4NCl, and MoO3/K3AsSe3/Et4NBr in 1:3:4, 1:2:4, and 1:4:6 molar ratios, resp., at 110 โ€ข C. Characterization by single crystal XRD methods show that the macroanion of (I) (triclinic, P1, Z = 2) has a one-dimensional polymeric structure of square planar Ni2+ ions and (As4S8) 4-ligands. The isostructural sinusoidal (Mo2O2As2Q7)2n-n (Q: S, Se) anionic chains of (II) (orthorhombic, Pbca, Z = 4) and (III) (Cmca, Z = 4) consist of (Mo2O2Q2)2+ cores linked by (AsQ5)4-ligands. -(CHOU,
