Synthesis and Biology of the Rigidified Glutamate Analogue, trans-2-Carboxyazetidine-3-acetic Acid (t-CAA). -The chemical approaches to the azetidine (-)-(VIII) and its homologue ( -)-(XII) are also used for the preparation of the enantiomers (+)-( VIII) and (+)-(XII).
