Part 4. 2,4-Dioxo-1,2,3,4tetrahydropyrimido[5,4-c]cinnolines.

-A new series of the title compounds (III) are prepared by cyclocondensation of the corresponding cinnolinecarboxamides (I) with oxalyl chloride, N,N'-carbodiimidazole or diethyl carbonate. Most of the title compounds show a high sedative action in low doses.
