Synthesis and Biological Activities of Methyl 3,7-and 4,5-Didehydrojasmonates.

-In comparison to methyl jasmonate, the inhibitory effect on rice seedling growth is increased in the case of title compound (V). Germination of lettuce seeds is inhibited more strongly, especially by compound (IV), and both (IV) and (V) are less active in inhibiting germination of radish seeds.
