Abstract
New quinazoline‐based organocatalysts are prepared and applied in the asymmetric ethylation of aromatic aldehydes.The corresponding alcohols are obtained with high levels of enantioselectivity except for alcohols with ortho‐electron‐withdrawing substituents in the phenyl ring.
