Synthesis and Application of a Novel Coupling Reagent, Ethyl 1-Hydroxy-1H-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxylate.

-A variety of Nhydroxylated 1,2,3-triazoles and imidazoles including the title compound (IX) are prepared. (IX) is an optimal reagent for solid-phase synthesis using Fmoc chemistry.
