Synthesis and Antiviral Evaluation of 4'-Hydroxymethyl-2',3'dideoxy-3' -thianucleosides and Their Cyclic Monophosphates.

-The title compounds (VII) and (VIII) are evaluated for anti-HIV activity. The described approach includes the first reported use of phosphorodiamidites for the preparation of nucleoside cyclic monophosphates. Compounds (VII) and (VIII) do not show any significant activity in an anti-HIV primary screen. -
