Synthesis and Antitumor Activity of 6-p-Alkoxyphenyl Derivatives of Hexahydropyrimidine-2,4-diones. -The title pyrimidinediones (III) and (VI), synthesized by intermolecular cyclization of the β-amino acids (I) and (V), resp., with urea are tested for their activity against various tumor cell lines. A detailed structure-activity-relationship study is presented to explain the results.
