β¦ Synopsis
Syntheses and Characterizations of Chiral Tetrahedral Cobalt Phosphates with Zeolite ABW and Related Frameworks.
-A new class of chiral tetrahedral title compounds MCoPO4 (M: Na, K, NH4, Rb) is prepared under hydrothermal conditions by careful control of solution pH and solvent. The structures of the salts are equal or closely related to aluminosilicate tridymite or zeolite ABW. Contrary to MAlSiO4 (M: Na, K), which exhibit different framework topologies, those of MCoPO4 are quite similar for the above salts. Consistent with the predictions for tetrahedral Co2+, the ABW structure NH4CoPO4-ABW ( monoclinic P21, Z = 4) and the three hybrid hexagonal structures NaCoPO4 (P61, Z = 24), KCoPO4 (P63, Z = 24), NH4CoPO4-HEX (P63, Z = 8) show paramagnetic Curie-Weiss behavior in the temp. range 12 to 300 K and a ferromagnetic ordering transition around 3 K. -(FENG, P.;
