Syntheses and Antifungal Activity of dl-Griseofulvin and Its Congeners. Part 2.

-In continuation of a study concerning the structure-activity relationship, derivatives (VIII) of the title compound (R: -Me) are synthesized. None of the products are more active as the parent substance. The reaction of (VIII) with Et-SH is investigated and the influence of thio-substituents on the antifungal activity of griseofulvins is discussed. -
