β¦ Synopsis
Supported Transition-Metal Catalysts for the C-C Coupling Reaction
Between Ethene and Diazoalkanes.
-The reaction of ethylene with diphenyldiazomethane is studied in the presence of a number of supported catalysts (23 examples) which have the advantage of ease of product separation and isolation. The most reactive and selective one is the catalyst shown in A), but its activity and selectivity is comparable with that of Rh2Cl2(CH2=CH2)4 in solution. With diazoalkanes other than diphenyldiazomethane, the activity of the supported catalyst shown in A) is partly higher and partly lower than that of Rh2Cl2(CH2=CH2)4.
