✦ Synopsis
Substitutional Solid Solutions in the TlInTe 2 -TlYbTe 2 System.
-The first studies on interactions in the title system result in the detection of solid solutions of composition TlIn 1-x YbxTe 2 (existent up to 11 mol% TlYbTe 2 at room temperature). The solid solutions crystallize in the tetragonal system just as TlInTe 2 . Type of conductivity, width of the forbidden gap, mechanism of scattering, and effective mass of the charge carrier are determined.
