Substituent Effects in the Preparation of Quinazolinones by Rhodium-Catalyzed Hydroformylation Reactions of 2-(Allylamino)benzamides.

-Whereas the methyl derivative (I) in the title reaction gives the quinazolinone (III) as sole product, the other benzamides give varying yields of quinazolinones together with branched chain aldehydes.
