Structure and Physicochemical Properties of Y 2 Ba 1-x MxCuO 5 (M: Sr, Ca) Solid Solutions.
-Crystal structure, thermal expansion, and electric conductivity of the title solid solutions Y 2 Ba 1-x MxCuO 5 (0โคxโค1) are studied in the temperature interval 293-1073 K. Solid solutions with M: Sr and M: Ca are formed by formal substitution of barium by strontium in the range 0โคxโค0.85 or by calcium in the range 0โคxโค0.8. These solid solutions possess the orthorhombic structure of the parent Y 2 BaCuO 5 phase (space group P4/nma; Z = 4). Their unit cell parameters as well as the thermal expansion coefficients decrease, while the electric conductivity increases with increasing Sr or Ca content. -(KLYNDYUK, A. I.;
