Structure and Magnetic Ordering in CeNixSn 2 Compounds.
-Three single phase CeNixSn 2 compounds of different nominal Ni-concentrations (x = 0.65, 0.75, 0.85) are prepared by arc-melting followed by vacuum annealing at 800 โข C. The high-resolution neutron diffraction data confirm the CeNiSi 2 type structure. Magnetic and specific heat measurements are performed also on compounds with Ni-concentrations corresponding to x = 1.0, 0.50, and x = 0.40.
