โœฆ Synopsis

Structure and Magnetic Ordering in CeNixSn 2 Compounds.

-Three single phase CeNixSn 2 compounds of different nominal Ni-concentrations (x = 0.65, 0.75, 0.85) are prepared by arc-melting followed by vacuum annealing at 800 โ€ข C. The high-resolution neutron diffraction data confirm the CeNiSi 2 type structure. Magnetic and specific heat measurements are performed also on compounds with Ni-concentrations corresponding to x = 1.0, 0.50, and x = 0.40. In several cases two magnetic phase transitions are observed. -(SCHOBINGER-PAPAMANTELLOS, P.;

The Magnetic Ordering of Ln 6 Fe 13 X Compounds. -Neutron diffraction of Pr 6 Fe 13 Ag and Pr 6 Fe 13 Au powder samples reveals a collinear antiferromagnetic ordering of the four Fe and two Pr sublattices associated with the wave vector q = (001). The Pr moments at 1.5 K are 2.5 ยต B and 2.6 ยต B per
