Abstract
The compounds M[Al(NH~2~)~4~]~x~ (M: K, Mg, Ca; x = 1, 2) along with previously reported LiAl(NH~2~)~4~ and NaAl(NH~2~)~4~ are prepared by ball milling under liquid NH~3~ and their structural and gas desorption properties are characterized by synchrotron powder XRD, FTIR and NMR spectroscopy, and thermogravimetry coupled with mass spectroscopy.
