Strontium Tetramolybdate Dihydrate, SrMo 4 O 13 •2H 2 O. -The title compound is prepared by hydrothermal reaction of SrCO 3 , MoO 3 , and SeO 2 (H 2 O, 453 K, 4 d; autoclave). SrMo 4 O 13 •2H 2 O is confirmed to be isostructural with BaMo 4 O 13 •2H 2 O (orthorhombic, space group Pbcn, Z = 8). The structure contains infinite sheets of MoO 6 and MoO 5 units sharing edges and vertices. The Sr 2+ ions and H 2 O molecules are located between the layers. -(HARRI-
