Cycloalkyl-and Alkyl-Zinc Reagents.

-A new procedure for the synthesis of configurationally stable chiral organozinc reagents such as (III) and (VII) is described which uses enantioselective hydroboration with (-)-isopinocampheylborane as initial step followed by diastereoselective transmetalation. The organozincs (III) and (VII) react with electrophiles (IV) and (VIII) with retention of configuration.
