✦ Synopsis

Stereocontrolled Synthesis of 5-Acyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrroles and Related Heterocycles via Intramolecular 2-Propylidene-1,3-bis(silane)-Acylnitrilium Ion Cyclizations. -The title reaction is found to proceed with good to excellent diastereoselectivity. Reduction of prepared δ1-pyrrolines results in stereoselective formation of 2,3-cis-pyrrolidines such as ( XII).
