Stereoconservative Formation and Reactivity of α-Chalcogen-Functionalized Vinyllithium Compounds from α-Bromovinylic Chalcogenides.

-α-Chalcogenvinyllithium intermediates, prepared via bromine/ lithium exchange from the bromides (I) and (III), react with several electrophiles to give the corresponding functionalized vinylic chalcogenides with retention of configuration.
