The extraction of zinc from ammoniacal/ammonium sulphate aqueous media using LIX 54 has been studied. The metal extraction rate has been examined and also the e β ect of temperature on the extraction of zinc (\*HΒ‘ \ [8Γ8 kJ mol~1). The e β ect of the aqueous pH, and therefore zinc ammine complex forma
## Abstract Solvent extraction of zirconium(IV) from acidic chloride solutions has been carried out with the thiosubstituted organophosphorus acids Cyanex 301 and Cyanex 302. The extraction follows an ion exchange mechanism: MO^2+^~(aq)~ + 2 HA~(org)~ β MOA~2(org)~ + 2 H^+^~(aq)~, where, M = Zr(IV)
## Abstract The solvent extraction behaviour of vanadium(V) from hydrochloric acid solutions has been investigated using 2βethylhexyl phosphonic acid monoβ2βethylhexyl ester (EHEHPAββ‘βHX) in kerosene as an extractant. For comparison, extraction studies have also been carried out with vanadium(IV).
