✦ Synopsis
Single-Crystal NaY(MoO 4 ) 2 thin Plates with Dominant {001} Facets for Efficient Photocatalytic Degradation of Dyes under Visible Light Irradiation. -NaY(MoO4)2 thin plates with 93% {001} facets are hydrothermally synthesized from aqueous solutions and). The samples are characterized by powder XRD, FE-SEM, HRTEM, and optical diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The amount of Na 2 MoO 4 has a marked influence on the morphology of the final product. The as-synthesized thin plates display excellent photosensitization activity under visible light irradiation for degradation of rhodamine B, methylene blue, indigo, and alizarin green superior. The photocatalytic activity is superior to that of P25, which makes this NaY(MoO4)2 material very promising for application in the environmental remediation area.
