Regioselectivity of the Mononitration of Alkylbenzenes by Immobilized Acyl Nitrates.

-An efficient methodology is given for the mononitration of alkylbenzenes with a high para-regioselectivity using acetyl nitrate supported on chrysotile. The nitrating agent shows a higher stability in the presence of the support than in its absence.
